Wave2 Locator Admin Portal - Configuration - Automatic Geolocation / GPS Search and Auto Click Nearest

The Wave2 Locator Admin Portal can configure your locator to automatically perform a "geolocation" or GPS search when the locator is first loaded. You can also set a configuration option that will automatically select the nearest branch or ATM search result to that user, as if the locator has "auto-clicked" that location.

Although these configurations can be very helpful features, particularly for mobile users, do keep in mind that the very first time a user encounters this feature, they will see a permissions dialogue asking if they'd like to share their current location with the locator. If they say yes, it will load their GPS search and show them the nearest branches and ATMs to their current position. If they say no, however, the locator will fail to do a GPS search and will load the default initial location.

1) Auto Geolocate
This is a feature you can enable with a single checkbox click, and then all users will automatically perform a geolocation search on load.

Navigation to this Configuration
From the top menu, select Locator Configuration and then Other Settings. This will take you to the miscellaneous configurations page, which has many small adjustments available for your locator configuration and user experience.

Scroll down about fifteen lines until you see "Auto Geolocate" - click that checkbox, making sure that it is CHECKED if you'd like the automatic search on load to be enabled.

2) Auto Click Geolocate
This is a companion feature to Auto Geolocate. Once you have enabled Auto Geolocate, you can enable Auto Click by enabling one more checkbox. Then all users will automatically perform a geolocation search on load and their nearest result will be "clicked," which will cause the locator to move that location to the center of the map, zoom in on it, and open its information popup.

Navigation to this Configuration
From the top menu, select Locator Configuration and then Other Settings. This will take you to the miscellaneous configurations page, which has many small adjustments available for your locator configuration and user experience.

One setting below the "Auto Geolocate" checkbox is "Auto Click Geolocate" - click that checkbox, making sure that it is CHECKED if you'd like the first result to be automatically selected by the system after the initial geolocation search.

That's it! Scroll down and click the big "Update Other Settings" button to save this configuration and go live with the new settings. If you'd like to change back, simply change these checkboxes and save.
