Wave2 Locator Admin Portal User Management, Account Permissions and Account Roles

The Wave2 Locator Admin Portal uses role-based task permissions and security using ASP.NET.
When a user account is created it may belong to one or more roles. 

Currently there are two main Admin Roles in the System:

  • Administrator – has access to all Admin Portal functionality, can manage, add, and delete other admin user accounts, can change the passwords of admin user accounts, can see tracking reports, heatmaps,  manage locations, change locator configurations, etc.
  • Location Manager – has access to the Location Management features only.

 Admin functionality and user management is fairly straightforward and is can be found in the hierarchical menu system and the dashboard menu system under the Administration menu.
