Wave2 Locator Admin Portal - Updating Locations - Map Pin Marker Positioning

The Wave2 Locator Admin Portal location management screen allows you to adjust the placement of your map pin markers with very high accuracy. You can do that in two ways: 1) using our easy drag-and-drop positioning editor to achieve pixel-perfect accuracy for your map maker pins without worrying about latitude and longitude coordinate values, or 2) by manually providing the latitude and longitude coordinates from some outside source.

Using the Location Adjustment Tools
Review the navigation and manage locations help pages, then go to the Manage Locations screen, select your location to edit, and scroll down to the Location section. There you will see a checkbox that says "Manual Adjustment," along with inputs for latitude and longitude, all next to a large adjustment map showing the location marker in its current position.

Simply click the "Manual Adjustment" checkbox, and you will see that the map marker changes from your own branded marker to a black and white adjustment marker.  When that happens, you can drag and drop the marker anywhere on the current map view. You can zoom in and out and pan as needed. If you zoom in close enough, you can get very precise placement relative to streets, building models, and other map features. When you "drop" the marker, you'll see that that latitude and longitude values in the input fields update to reflect the new position of your marker. Then, simply scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the 'update' button to go live with that positioning.

Using the Manual Latitude and Longitude Entry Fields
Follow the instructions above, but instead of dragging and dropping the map marker, simply click on the "Manual Adjustment" checkbox and then enter (or paste in) the latitude and longitude decimal coordinate values into the appropriate fields. NOTE: The map marker in the adjustment map will not appear to update when you do this.
Then simply scroll down and click the 'update' button to go live with this change. After you go back into the location editing screen, you will see the updated map placement from the coordinates you entered manually.
